In the case of the current 41 countries listed as not requiring a visa to enter the Kingdom of Thailand, nationals from these countries may enter via any airport without a visa and receive a 30 day tourist visa at no cost.
If an individual wishes a longer visa length, then a formal visa application must be submitted at any Embassy of Thailand world wide. These are generally a tourist visa with a validity or length of stay of 60 days.
