Climate data is important if you are planning that long awaited holiday trip which may take you to someplace you know or have never been. You might also be on travels which will extend for many months, maybe up to a year and cover a lot of countries in the process.
One of the worst things that can happen is you arrive at the wrong time of the year due to the climate and time of year you go. It is always nice to know in advance what the climate conditions will be before you start making those plans, especially for extended travels in new countries or locations.
There is one web site that I use extensively which covers most of the entire world and provides a lot of date about the climate conditions using charts for temperatures, sunshine, rain and more. These charts are for a 12 month period and will visually show what you will be walking into before you go.
The site is called Weather and Climate and if you click this link you will be taken to their home page from which you can search through all the countries on their list then within that country, the specific regions or cities. When you get the charts there will be an option to change values from Fahrenheit to Celsius or Inches to Millimeters so you can view the chart in which ever form your are familiar with.

I personally use these and other web sites when planning my travels to new places, especially if I have not been to a location during a time of year I am not familiar with.
Give them a try and it just might make the difference between arriving to a location only to discover you have arrived during the heart of the monsoon season.
